What Is A Domain Registrar?

A Domain Registrar is a company or organization that facilitates the registration of domain names on the internet. They are the intermediary between Registrants and the Registries that they are registering the domain name and TLD with.

They are ICANN accredited organizations responsible for managing the Registrants’ registration of their domain names with various Registries. The Registries in turn are the overseers of top-level domains, or TLDs, ccTLDs, and gTLDs amongst others.
