Additional Information:

SmartFTP is an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client for Microsoft Windows that allows you to manage files on a remote server. In terms of web hosting, it acts like a bridge between your computer and hosting server, enabling you to upload, download, create, edit, and delete files and folders using a user-friendly interface.

SmartFTP allows for more advanced file management features like copying, moving, and searching files with SmartFTP. Explore the software’s menus and functionalities for a wider range of options.

  • Secure File Transfer: SmartFTP supports various secure protocols for transferring files, including FTPS which uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. This ensures your data is protected during transfers, especially crucial for sensitive information.
  • Automation and Scheduling: Schedule automated file transfers to occur at specific times or intervals. This is useful for tasks like backing up your website or regular updates for website content on your remote server.
  • Synchronization: Keep your local and remote files and folders in sync. SmartFTP can automatically detect changes and update either side to maintain consistency.
  • Batch Transfers: Transfer multiple files and folders at once to save time and effort. You can also configure transfer queues to prioritize or handle transfers in a specific order.
  • Remote Editing: Edit files directly on the remote server using SmartFTP’s built-in text editor (available in higher editions). This eliminates the need to download, edit, and re-upload files, streamlining your workflow.
  • Cloud Storage Support: Access and manage files stored in popular cloud storage services like Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, and more directly within SmartFTP. This provides a centralized platform for managing all your files, regardless of your location.
