How can we help?
When generating the CSR, the server administrators will use their server software to create a CSR (Certificate Signing Request). During this process, the software will prompt for all the relevant details submitted by yourself. Bear in mind that providing accurate and complete information in the CSR contributes to the integrity and trustworthiness of your online presence.
Once the CSR is generated, it is sent to the chosen Certificate Authority, where the CA uses the CSR to validate your organization and domain name.
After validation, the CA issues the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate that matches the information given in the CSR.
Importance of a CSR:
In securing your website with an SSL certificate, a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) plays a pivotal role, as it establishes a connection between your server’s public key and the CA. This connection ensures that the SSL certificate issued is valid for your specific domain and organization, enhancing the security and authenticity of your website.
