Server Maintenance Policy
For the purpose of this section, “service” shall mean the availability of the data traffic, sufficient power and HVAC services.
Availability
Hosted.com offers a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Hosted.com will use all reasonable efforts to provide the services 24/7. In order to operate in an efficient and secure manner, servers and network equipment require routine maintenance and upgrades and you acknowledge that from time to time the Services may be unavailable for various reasons, including due to Scheduled Downtime or causes beyond our control.
Hosted.com will attempt to provide reasonable advanced notice to you for Scheduled Downtimes and will use reasonable efforts to minimize any other disruptions, inaccessibility, or inoperability of our web servers but we are not responsible for the unavailability.
Maintenance
Planned outages, including Scheduled Downtime, during these periods will not fall under our 99.9% uptime commitment. Hosted.com will make a reasonable effort to advise our customers as far in advance as possible of any predicted extended outages.
Emergency Maintenance
Should emergency maintenance, including but not limited to hardware failures and replacement, hardware upgrades, software upgrades or patching and/or related, or anything else which may be deemed emergency by Hosted.com need to be carried out, there may be insufficient notice or warning in order to perform such duties and these duties will be outside of the 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Support
Our support methodology utilizes the “emergency room” approach where problems are graded for severity and responded to accordingly. Service outages of any type always receive top priority followed by service-degrading factors and general questions about server management. This ensures every customer will receive the best support during the appropriate situation.
Limitations
This Server Maintenance Policy includes but is not limited to:
- Shared servers and accounts
- VPS servers and accounts,
- All network equipment and infrastructure
- Internal websites such as billing and support.
- Any other hardware
Major system upgrades may require additional Scheduled Downtime.
Customer Responsibilities
Hosted.com will not be held responsible for any problems or service outages caused due to reboots during standard maintenance periods.
Hosted.com has no responsibility for downtime resulting from your actions.
