Hosted.com® emphasizes the importance of SSL prevent MITM attack, which occur when attackers intercept communication between a website and its visitors. SSL encrypts all data transmitted between the browser and the server, ensuring that intercepted data cannot be read or modified by unauthorized parties.
SSL also verifies server identity through digital certificates issued by trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs). This authentication prevents attackers from impersonating your website, protecting visitors from fraudulent or malicious websites.
Using SSL/TLS through Hosted.com® not only encrypts data; it also authenticates your website, maintaining customer trust and preventing malicious interception of communications.
