While one team member is updating design elements, another can refine content, and someone else can be optimizing layouts, all in real time, without the risk of overwriting each other’s progress. The result is a faster, more efficient workflow that keeps everyone aligned and significantly reduces the time required to move from concept to completion.
Collaboration Mode provides the structure and flexibility required to streamline your website creation process, ensuring that every contributor can focus on their area of expertise while still maintaining a cohesive final product.

What is Collaboration Mode?
Collaboration Mode is a feature in the Hosted.com® Website Builder that allows multiple users to access, edit, and build a website together in real time. Once enabled, you can invite team members to join your project so they can contribute to different sections of the website simultaneously.
Each collaborator can:
- Edit layouts and design elements.
- Add or update text and images.
- Modify pages and structure.
- View changes made by others instantly.
This real-time visibility ensures that everyone stays on the same page, reducing miscommunication and improving overall productivity.
NOTE:
Collaboration Mode is not available for websites created using the demo version.
How to Activate Collaboration Mode
Before you begin, ensure your Hosted.com® Site Builder plan is active.
1. Login to your Hosted.com® Client Area.
2. Navigate to Manage Services.
3. Select Website Builder from the available options.
4. Click Launch Website Builder to open your workspace.
Alternative method:
- Go to your hosting service under Manage Services.
- Click Manage next to your domain.
- Select Website Builder from the Quick Access options.
Once access is shared, your team members can join and start contributing immediately.
Additional Information
- As collaborators join the project, they can make live edits to various components of the website, including changing templates, updating content, modifying images, and refining layouts, all while being able to see updates from other users in real time.
- This real-time interaction not only improves efficiency. It also enhances collaboration quality, as team members can immediately review, adjust, and build on each other’s work, making it easier to maintain consistency in design, messaging, and overall user experience across all pages of the website.
- The flexibility to share access via either a direct link or a managed email invitation also allows you to control how your team collaborates, whether you need quick input from stakeholders or structured access for a dedicated team working on different aspects of the project.
- It is important to remember that while Collaboration Mode offers powerful capabilities, it is not available when using the demo version of Website Builder. This means you will need an active plan to enjoy the real-time teamwork features.
- Ultimately, Collaboration Mode helps streamline project timelines, improve communication, and ensure your website development process is efficient and well-coordinated from start to finish.
Login to Hosted.com® Account
1. Go to the Hosted.com® website Account Login page.
2. Enter your Email and Password and click the Sign In button.
3. You will see the Hosted.com® Dashboard, displaying the Manage Account menu on the left and your Account Information, Account Overview and Open Support Tickets on the right.
Login to cPanel from your Hosted.com® Dashboard
4. Click on Manage Services to view the sub-dropdown menu and select the hosting package for the domain you want to work with – in our example we are using WordPress Hosting.
5. Click the Manage button to the right of the domain name you want to access.
6. The display will now show Product Information, Quick Manage, Resource Usage and Site Statistics for that domain name.
7. Under Product Information, scroll down to Control Panel, which will display cPanel to the right, and click on the Login button.
