Enabling 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) is one of the simplest and most effective steps you can take to protect your Hosted.com® account against unauthorized access.

It requires not only your password, but also a unique time-sensitive code generated by an authentication app. This additional verification step helps prevent unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.

Popular authenticator apps include Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator. The setup process is simple and takes only a few minutes.

Locate 2 Factor Authentication in Dashboard

1. Login to your Hosted.com® account.

2. From your dashboard, open the Account Information menu and select Security Settings.

Additional Information

  • Required at Every Login: Once activated, you’ll need both your password and a valid authentication code each time you login.
  • Single Use QR Code: The QR code can be scanned only once. Ensure your authenticator app is backed up or synced in case you switch devices.
  • Lost Access: If you lose access to your authentication device, contact Hosted.com® Support to have 2FA disabled.
  • Disable or Reset: You can revisit the Two-Factor Authentication section in your account to disable or reset the feature at any time.
  • Team Accounts: If multiple users access the same hosting account, each person should set up their own 2FA for added security.
