Additional Information:
Transfer Costs
The cost of transferring your domain and web hosting will depend on the provider you are changing over to. Generally speaking, most providers will charge the domain’s annual renewal fee, but it will depend on your chosen provider.
Additional factors that may influence the cost of the transfer can include the domain extension (TLD (Top Level Domain)) and whether you are using a premium domain name.

Domain Redirection
When your website is moved to a new domain, you will need to make sure that when a user enters your existing URL into their browser it will go to the new server location.
When a domain is redirected, all of website’s user traffic (including search engines) will be automatically moved from one address to another, without them seeing that the domain hosting has changed.
If a domain redirect is not done, every time a user visits the moved page, they will encounter a 404 Error.
A 404 error is an HTTP status code that appears in a user’s browser that indicates the page they were trying to reach could not be found. In this case the 404 error will appear because that site is no longer on the server it was being hosted on.
Our FREE Domain Pointing tool makes it easy to redirect your new domain to your existing website.
