Install DokuWiki from Softaculous
This tutorial assumes you have logged into Softaculous through cPanel.
1. Scroll down to the Wiki group on the left of the screen.
2. Find “DokuWiki” within the drop-down menu. You will be taken to the software’s Overview page to view information about DokuWiki before installing.
For Quick Install
1. Select “Quick Install” to install the software; use the defaults for these options, which should be fine for most purposes.
2. If you have multiple Domains on your account, choose where you want to install DokuWiki. The next two boxes let you set the Domain and Directory name, which should not yet exist on the Server.
3. Complete the process by clicking “Install”. Use the link on the page to view the installed application.
For Custom Install
1. Clicking “Custom Install” will install the software using the defaults for these options, which should be fine for most purposes.
2. Input “Multiple Domains” on your account and choose where to install DokuWiki. As with the Quick Install process, the two boxes allow you to set the Domain and Directory name, which should not yet exist on the Server.
3. Set the Wiki Name and ACL Policy, and whether the wiki should be “Open”, “Public” or “Closed”. You can change these later from the software’s Admin Panel.
4. Enter a Username, Password, Real Name, and Admin Email for the Admin Account.
5. Click “Install”. After a moment, the software will be installed. Now you can use the link on the page to view your newly installed application.
