This guide explains how to back up WordPress using WP Toolkit and the cPanel Backup Wizard.

Regularly backing up your WordPress website is one of the most important aspects of website maintenance. A backup creates a copy of your website’s files, databases, themes, plugins, media library, and settings, allowing you to restore your website if something goes wrong.

Unexpected issues can occur at any time due to plugin conflicts, failed WordPress updates, accidental file deletion, malware infections, server issues, or human error. Without a recent backup, recovering your website may be difficult, time-consuming, or even impossible. By maintaining reliable backups, you can quickly restore your website and minimize downtime.

Hosted.com® WordPress Hosting includes multiple backup options to help protect your website and data, alongside daily Acronis backups of all our hosted WordPress servers and their websites.

WordPress Toolkit provides a fast and space-efficient way to back up individual WordPress websites whilst the cPanel Backup Wizard creates a comprehensive backup of your entire hosting account, including websites, databases, email accounts, and account settings. Combined with automatic security features, LiteSpeed optimization, and expert support, these backup tools help ensure your website remains protected.
